If you have a subset of employees who require a different set of meal rules from your default, it is possible to handle this in Worksana.
Examples:
Some employees need a 30 minute lockout. Others need an hour lockout
Some employees are in California but others are in a state that doesn’t have penalties related to missing or late meals
Meal rules are tied to specific Payroll Settings. You can have multiple Payroll Settings. Payroll Settings can be assigned to different groups at the Department level.
Steps to creating a new meal rule for a subset of employees.
Create a new Payroll Setting with the appropriate rules in place
Create a new Department and assign the Payroll Setting to that Department
