Downloading the App

  • You’ll receive a text message with a link that directs you to the correct app store (Google Play or Apple App Store).

  • If you didn’t get the link, just open your store and search for “Worksana.”

  • Tap Download to install the app.

Logging In

  1. Open the app.

  2. Enter your phone number.

  3. You’ll receive a second text message with a link — tapping it will automatically log you in.

You do not need to do this daily or with each use of the app. Once logged in, you will remain logged in until you logout.

Some carriers or devices might not be compatible with the automatic text log in workflow. If you're having issues, tap on the "Click here to login using your username" link, then enter your username and password to login.

Note: If you do not know your credentials, contact your administrator.

Permissions

The app requires two permissions to function properly:

  • Location → Choose Allow While Using the App.

⚠️ You cannot punch-in without this permission. The app never tracks your location while you’re punched out.

  • Notifications → Tap Allow to get reminders (like meal breaks) and messages from your administrator.

Clocking In

  • Tap the Punch In button to start your shift.

  • A confirmation message will appear (this can be disabled).

Taking Meal Breaks

  • Tap Meal Break when beginning your break.

  • If your administrator enforces a minimum break length, the End Meal button will stay greyed out until the countdown ends.

  • Once active, tap End Meal to finish your break.

Clocking Out

  • Tap Punch Out to end your shift.

  • You’ll see the Shift Overview screen showing your punches. These times are not editable.

Approving or Correcting Your Shift

  • If everything looks correct:

    • Tap Approve → then Approve Shift in the pop-up.

  • If you need changes:

    • Tap Submit Correction → type details in the open text form → send directly to your administrator.

Sync Status

The app is offline first for reliability in areas with poor service.

  • Look for the colored bar beneath the app header:

    • Blue = successfully synced

    • Red = not yet synced

⚠️ Wait until the bar turns blue before closing the app. If it stays red, move to an area with better service and retry. Your administrator cannot see your completed shift until it syncs.

✅ You’re now ready to download, log in, and manage your shifts with the Worksana mobile app.
